With so many people revisiting the idea of cloth diapering these days, it is amazing at the amount of scoffs I get when I tell people I love cloth diapering my kids. My toddler wasn’t cloth diapered from birth, but baby #2 who will be making a debut real soon is going to be cloth diapered right from the start. Cloth diapers have come a long way from my grandmother’s days. Some people might think of safety pins holding the diaper together, but cloth diapers for the modern mom are totally different. As a matter of fact, cloth diapers are comparable to disposable diapers to put on and take off baby -the only difference is the amount of money you save by washing the diaper and reusing it as opposed to throwing it away. Cloth diapers are much more eco friendly than disposable diapers.
When I first started cloth diapering, I preferred pocket diapers that had snaps. Now that I have more experience I like diapers that have velcro – but this is a personal preference. The reason I prefer velcro is because I find it easier to put on a squirmy baby, but I love snaps because I feel they are more durable and last longer.
Awesome Blossom Cloth Diapers are a great starter pocket diaper. They fit babies from 9-35 lbs, so you get a ton of use out of them, making them the only cloth diaper you will need from a few weeks after birth right up until potty training. The diaper is adjustable by simply snapping the diaper up or down, depending on the size you need and ensuring a perfect fit each time. The inside of the diaper is super soft and made of micro-fleece, while the outside is made of waterproof PUL. Each diaper comes with a 3 layer micro fiber insert.
I had the opportunity to review the Happy Green Flowers diaper from the Awesome Blossom line. I found these diapers to be absolutely adorable for a little girl. It reminds me of Spring time, which is perfect because my newest bundle will be a spring baby! The diaper itself is well constructed and feels durable enough to last through many washes.
