Back to school may be a scary time for new students and parents alike. Some children adjust very easily while others take some time to warm up to their teachers and fellow classmates. I remember my first few days of preschool. I was very excited to be a big girl and go to school like my older brother, but once I got there it was a different story. My mom had started working as well, so my grandmother dropped me off. It seemed that all the kids already knew each other- whether or not this was true, I’m not sure. It just seemed like a such a scary place and I didn’t know anyone.
I’m still not sure how my toddler would react on her first day of school. She is very social and makes friends easy, but if I’m not there with her I don’t know if she will feel secure. She has always carried a security toy with her, which is usually a cat (she LOVES cats!) I just found out about Patch Buddies which may be a great way to transition younger students (ages 2-7) into a classroom setting. Patch buddies include a backpack which also features a cuddly lovie-type stuffed animal. The buddy has a hideaway blanket attached (great for naptime) to the back and easily stores in the zipper compartment. Your child can choose one of fourteen stuffed friends to add on to their backpack including abear, bunny, cat, chicken, cow, dog, mouse, panda, penguin, pig, and fun characters Bruno. Kevin Mao, P-Jay, and Tony. The backpack comes in five different colors and is large enough for books, lunch, snacks, and pencils, making this a great gift for your little student.
Bubele’s Patch Buddies retail for $14.99 and the backpacks go for $16.99. You can learn more about Bubele’s Patch Buddies and connect with them on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on their latest news and promotions!
