I admit to being a bit of a lazy cook, so there is no way I would cut up the lettuce, spinach, carrots, etc. They mixes make a great base for all kinds of things – as you pointed out, you can do just about any kind of salad you want: sweet, savory, sweet and savory.

We like to buy the spinach when it is on sale and freeze a bunch of it. My husband just grabs it straight out of the freezer for his smoothies.

I like that I can just open the bag, toss it in a bowl and add the dressings and garnish and have a side dish for my family that they all enjoy!
