Remember your high school Social Studies teacher? Do you remember what he wore? Maybe it was a button down shirt with jeans or slacks. Maybe it was a plaid shirt. Either way, it was most likely unstylish and plain. I’m sorry hubby, but you have fallen into that Social Studies teacher pitfall. I knew you needed a makeover when you wore a blue button down shirt with brown cargo shorts. It just didn’t go. Maybe it does go, but just not on you. It’s definitely time for a makeover, but coming from a simple-dressed girl like myself, I know I can’t be too convincing. We need an intervention- a wardrobe intervention.
This is how the conversation went when I told my hubby that his clothes needed some spunk. His response? “I think I look fine- no one at work said anything to me” Yeah hubs, because THAT would be appropriate. No one at work will tell you that your clothes don’t match. At least not to your face. So we have to start from the bottom up. You’ve been wearing the same underwear your mom bought you when you were still living under her roof. I almost feel bad for your underwear. It’s time to let them rest. Why don’t you pick up some comfy trunks from the new Mario Lopez line?
As you can imagine, this conversation didn’t go too well but once he had the MaLo trunks in his hands, he was surprised at how soft they were. They were nowhere near as stiff as his boxers but they were still very roomy. He asked me to purchase a few more pairs for him and decided that these were the only trunks he wanted to wear from now on. Along with swapping out his old boxers for nice and cozy MaLo trunks, I was also able to convince him to get rid of his favorite t-shirt that should have been laid to rest a long time ago:
Note the hole on top. Every time he wears this shirt I ask him when he will get rid of it. Thankfully, after this project he felt inspired to purge his closet, donate all the clothes that didn’t fit, and finally get rid of all his t-shirts that had holes in them! Be sure to have your hubby or son check out the latest line in #MaLoUnderwear for unbeatable comfort and fit.

My husband certainly needs some new items in his wardrobe, especially underwear and socks. I think I’ll take on that task once the kids are fully back in school.
