Meet the Lapper Tray by Masterbuilt (Giveaway!)

My hubby and I have family gatherings in our home on a weekly basis, so you would think that after living here for 5 years we would be a little more prepared for company. We had to get rid of our coffee table when we found our at-the-time two year old dancing on top of the glass surface. It took us a long time to find something to replace it with that was both safe and functional. A storage ottoman with a tray is hardly a coffee table and cannot double as one when you have people over. Our parties are usually buffet-style since there are too many of us to sit at the dining room table. Since people don’t really have the coffee table to place their plates or glasses on, we needed to start thinking of ways we can have people comfortably site on the couch and eat.

The people over at Masterbuilt must have heard us thinking about solutions when they came out with the Lapper Tray. Whether you are entertaining at home or outdoors, they are great for children and adults and provide a very comfortable, convenient place to rest your plate, utensils, and even your glass! The lapper tray is just that- it is a tray that has silicone mats which hold bowls, plates, and cups. It is made out of melamine, but includes silicone mats which work as a non-slip surface as well as trivets (these easily come out if you choose not to use them.)

I love that the mat is easy to use for our older house guests, as well as for children. The tray has handles, so it is easy to transport it once there are plates or cups on it. We have used them for family gatherings, breakfast in bed, BBQs, as a cocktail platter, and even for the little kids in the family. We all know that kids are often uncoordinated and can be messy eaters. By using the Lapper Tray as a place setting for tots, you can keep the mess contained and have a super easy clean up!

What makes Masterbuilt unique from the competitors?  We are innovators and pride ourselves on developing products that are new to the market.
What is the most popular Masterbuilt product?  The Butterball Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer and our electric smokers.
What was the first Masterbuilt product that started the company?  Technically, fern stands and baker’s racks were the first products my father made.  But, Masterbuilt started on the road to what we are today in 1976 with our first fish cooker. 
What are the origins of the company?  My dad, Dawson McLemore, started the company in our backyard in 1973. 
What do you think is in store for Masterbuilt’s future?  We want to become the most recognized brand in the indoor and outdoor cooking industry by providing products that are safe and easy to use.
