If bed time with your kids becomes a 3 ring circus, then we have something in common. Yes, I’ve established a routine. Yes, I explain my expectations. Yes, I’ve followed every ounce of advice people have given me… And it gets better for a few weeks and then something happens: a vacation, holiday, special weekend, and our sleep schedule gets messed up again. Daylight savings is this weekend and I know it will rock my kids sleep pattern for a few weeks and then they will adjust. The adjustment period is what I’m afraid of most and I need to start planning from now. People advise to adjust bed time by 15 minute each day until you meet your goal of that hour gained or lost.
This Sunday, March 9 at 7pm EST, Dr Zak will be hosting a special Daylight Savings Recovery chat on Twitter. You can submit your questions to @zarbees and follow the conversation. In case you didn’t know, Dr Zak is the person behind Zarbees, our favorite all natural cough medicine. He’s also the inventor of Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Sleep, for children 3 years and up which helps reset bedtime routines. This week Zarbees will be sharing sleep tips on Facebook and Twitter, so be sure to follow them for some great information. I know I will be!
Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Sleep is not intended for long term use, so consult your pediatrician if your child is having a hard time sleeping. For occasional use such as travel or daylight savings time pattern disruptions, Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Sleep is a great aid.
For parents who need a little extra help, Zarbee’s Naturals is sharing a coupon code for $1.50 off Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Sleep (and free shipping on all orders over $10). It’s available online at using zarbeessleep at checkout.
