If you haven’t jumped on the healthy living and eating bandwagon, Aetna and SheSpeaks is urging you to join now! We all know that healthy eating habits are important in our overall well being – but a lot of people are unaware that the food choices they make may have severe health consequences later on in their lives.
One of my favorite healthy recipes is Turkey Spinach meatballs. Why do I love them? They are FULL of flavor and vitamins and LOW in fat! They are a great source of protein and they are a great sneaky recipe for children who don’t like their veggies very much!
Here is my recipe for Turkey Spinach Meatballs:
1 pound Turkey Chopped meat
10 oz frozen chopped spinach
1 egg
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
2 cloves garlic – chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients together, drizzle with olive oil and place in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until cooked through. Serve on top of whole wheat pasta.
