Celebrating Little Moments with Entenmann’s

If the past 3 months in quarantine has taught us anything, it’s to savor the small moments and be present in the now. Before all this, I was a planner. I planned everything. I planned our busy schedules 3-6 months in advance. I planned vacations 9-12 months in advance. The Covid pandemic has taught me the old adage rings true- when we make plans, God laughs. Well, here we are 3 months into homeschooling, 3 months into cooking three full meals a day, 3 months into keeping my family entertained, sane, and safe.


Since the weather has been getting nicer each day, we’ve been spending a lot more time in the yard and going on walks and bike rides with the kids. Snacking is inevitable, because my 3 kids at ages 10, 8, and 5, seem to need their fuel immediately and at all hours of the day. Entenmann’s pound cake has been a classic favorite of mine and my husband’s. We both have memories of excitement when we would see the blue and white rectangular box in our kitchens. The sweet, crumbly texture of the golden cake paired well with fruit, ice cream, but was even delicious on its own!
