My oldest daughter is growing up and growing out of many programs on tv. I noticed she gravitates towards shows with actual people and away from cartoons. She’s understanding different situations and growing up before my eyes. As she navigates through our Amazon Prime shows, she stops and reads descriptions to see if those shows match her interest. When she got yo Just Add Magic, she was immediately intrigued and played the show. Within a few minutes she was hooked and found relatable characters with an interesting storyline. She also has an increased desire to learn how to bake, and as a former baking instructor, how can I say no!? Here’s a little more info on Just Add Magic, which is celebrating their second season:
Based on Cindy Callaghan’s book of the same name, Just Add Magic for kids, tweens and their families follows the adventures of Kelly (Olivia Sanabia, Extant) and her two best friends, Darbie (Abby Donnelly, Suburgatory) and Hannah (Aubrey Miller, Austin & Ally), who stumble across a mysterious cookbook and discover that its recipes are far from ordinary – they’re magical! In Season Two, the girls work together to continue to unravel the mystery surrounding the reappearance of an old enemy who threatens to steal their magical cookbook.
