Summer travels are up ahead and I’m always looking for things to keep kids busy during car trips. Our Nintendo 3DS gets a lot of use, and with so many games to choose from, there’s something for everyone. My oldest daughter loves a variety of game genres but has taken a liking to the Cooking Mama series. Just recently she had the opportunity to try out Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop and here’s what she had to say about it-
In Cooking Mama Sweet Shop I took all the simple everyday sweets, like cake pops, to a new level. The coolest part was decorating your sweets- you get to choose whatever design you want and make it your own. One time I made a bear pancake with icing! I made the face and decorated it. When you complete a level correctly, the Sweet Shop grows and you have more room and choices of sweets for your customers. The customers sometimes have requests and you can fill them with items you’ve already made. Madame Sweets comes into your shop and asks if you have specific items. If you correctly make the sweets she asks for, the Sweet Shop becomes global, which means you can open a bakery all over the world, then mini games appear! When you play the mini games you get more points for your Sweet Shop. My favorite part of the game is when I actually get to make the sweets and Madame Sweets comes in to create more mini games.
