As I check off my list of things that need to get done during back to school season, I’m starting to think of those dreaded illnesses. We always have the proper fever reducers, pain relievers, and booboo fixers on hand, but I try to avoid those nasty viruses to begin with. I encourage healthy eating habits, even though it’s not a consistently easy task. But for the most part, my girls love their fruits and veggies. Along with their daily vitamin and Omega-3 each day, my girls also take a tasty Culturelle® chewable. Our doctor recommended a probiotic for digestive health,* specifically Culturelle®, because it was easy to find in the drugstore and according to him, “it worked.”
I’m no stranger to probiotics. When I was a teenager, before probiotics were found in every nook and cranny of your local drugstore, I was introduced to them. The probiotics that came recommended were in a health food store in the refrigerated section because at that time, this was the only way to preserve the “good” bacteria found in probiotics.
Fast forward over a decade later and technology has changed so much that probiotics are now shelf stable and many can withstand the strong enzymes in your stomach to make their way into your digestive tract.
Why do I give my kids Culturelle®? Because a healthy gut has a lot to do with an overall healthy well being. Our pediatrician also recommends Culturelle® be taken when certain medications are prescribed, because the “good” bacteria can get damaged by medications. Culturelle® can help put that “good” bacteria back where it belongs.
Culturelle® helps support kids’ immune systems and digestive systems, and contributes to their overall health*. Plus it’s the only probiotic with 100% Lactobacillus GG, the most clinically studied strain, so you know you can trust them†.*
Another bonus? Culturelle® for kids is easy for them to take because it’s chewable and tastes good. I’ve even taken children’s Culturelle® myself when I’ve run out of my own probiotics. As you check off items from your school supply list, be sure to check out Culturelle® for kids!
