Summer is just around the corner, despite winter taking its time and keeping NYC unseasonably cool this past week. I’m looking forward to so much- not waking up at 6 am to get everyone ready for school, not having to pack lunches, having my kids home and going on day trips, and, of course, BBQ season! We LOVE BBQs around here and while we usually stick to the basics of drumsticks, burgers, and hot dogs, sometimes we like to switch it up a bit.

One thing we keep the same and we don’t change is our dessert- S’mores! There’s no other way than the old-fashioned way to enjoy S’mores; HONEY MAID Grahams, JET-PUFFED Marshmallows, and HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate. Ok, I’ll be honest- I have been known to experiment with other HONEY MAID Grahams flavors, like cinnamon, but I always go back to their original honey recipe for the best tasting S’mores.
When you have a hot BBQ already lit up, there’s no better way to end your summer BBQ dinner than with a BBQ style dessert. When it comes to actually making S’mores, it’s interesting to see how everyone likes to craft their S’mores to their personal liking. I happen to be on the minimal chocolate, more marshmallow side myself, but my middle daughter would gladly place a half of a chocolate square on the top and half on the bottom of her graham crackers to make it more chocolaty all around. There really is no wrong way to enjoy S’mores!
