I wasn’t too familiar with diaper cakes until I was pregnant with my daughter. My sister in law surprised me with a beautiful diaper cake which was made out of newborn disposable diapers. It was so pretty, I didn’t even want to take it apart to use it! Fast forward almost 3 years later, diaper cakes have become the norm at any baby shower you attend. What I love most about diaper cakes is the ability to customize them according to your preference. Whether you are a Huggies or Pampers user (even eco-friendly diapers,) or looking for a gender specific or neutral color, diaper cakes are completely customizable. I have never actually had to shop around for a diaper cake, but if I did, I would definitely order from Diaper Cakewalk. I love the themes they carry and the option for eco friendly diapers. I also love that they are willing to work with you to customize a cake according to your theme, so if they don’t have what you are looking for, they will make it!
I chose to review the Ladybug Diaper Cake because I thought it was one of the cutest designs! I loved the colors and the fun toys that were included in this set. Included in the 4 tier version of the Ladybug diaper cake is:
- 3 wiggling ladybugs
- Baby pacifier
- 2 baby washcloth daisies
- 2 Baby spoons
- Johnson’s baby shampoo
- Johnson’s baby lotion
- Johnson’s baby wash
- Johnson’s baby powder
- Desitin diaper rash cream
- 70-75 premium Pampers Swaddlers disposable diapers, size 1 (up to 14lbs)
This is a gorgeous cake for that any new mama that loves Ladybugs or has a Ladybug theme for her new bundle. Everything in the diaper cake is useable, so if you planned on gifting a package of diapers (what new mom doesn’t need diapers?) then what better way of displaying those diapers than with a diaper cake?!?
The Diapers typically used at Diaper Cakewalk are size 1 Pampers Swaddlers, but if you have a preference for other diapers or other sizes, they can definitely accomodate you. Be sure to check out their other designs at Diaper Cakewalk and connect with them on Facebook and Twitter. If you don’t see what you are looking for, I would email them! It’s really easy and they are super easy to work with!
