Although the trends are starting to change, pediatricians are still recommending babies start off with oatmeal cereal or rice cereal. I wanted to hold off on solid foods for as long as possible since I was breastfeeding, but my little girl was growing increasingly hungry and demanding more milk. Our pediatrician told us to try her on some cereal once a day to see if it would help. I waited a month after his suggestion to actually go ahead and give her cereal.
After researching cereal brands, I knew I was going to try out Earth’s Best first. The reason was that Earth’s Best cereals are made with organic whole grains. Before I even told my pediatrician which brand we were going to give my daughter, he suggested Earth’s Best! Since we were both on the same page, I knew it was the right decision.
Check out the Earth’s Best label on their cereal:
- USDA organic: no growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids or potentially harmful pesticides or herbicides
- Made from whole grains
- Excellent source of iron
- No added salt, sugar
- No artificial flavors, colors, preservatives
- No modified food starch
- Kosher certified
After trying out Earth’s Best cereals, I knew I was happy with their products and never tried another brand. I was happy with the ingredients and the fact that the food was organic, so, why switch!? When it was time to start introducing fruits and veggies, I knew I was going to make homemade baby food but a friend suggested I try out the jarred foods first. Her reasoning was valid – she stated that if the baby had an allergic reaction to the food, then it would be a waste to make a whole batch of baby foods just to throw it out.
We happily used Earth’s Best cereal and jarred foods until my little girl grew out of baby foods. I always carried two jars of Earth’s Best Dinners in my diaper bag for “just in case” and when we would take weekend trips, it was much easier to pack jarred foods than it was homemade baby food. Check out Earth’s Best to see their entire line of baby foods! You can connect with Earth’s Best on Facebook and the Earth’s Best website!
