With a little more time on your hands, now that you’re at home a lot more, and with there being only so many things that you can do with your time, you might find yourself looking for new projects to keep yourself busy. So with that in mind, what are some of the productive projects that you could be getting on with during quarantine? There are only so many movies you can watch in a row, right? With that in mind, here are some tasks that you could take on during this time, to help you to pass the time, but also to revamp your space and give it an update.
Change Air Filters
If you haven’t changed the filters in your air vents for a while, then that could be something worth doing as they need to be changed quite regularly. However, you could also change the external vent cover too. These can get rusty or dirty over time, so you could give them a good clean, or just replace them altogether.
Guttering
Although we are in the middle of spring, there can be some breezes, and a lot of things falling from the trees like leaves and blossoms. If you have gutters on your home that are in need of a clean, then it can make a big difference, and get rid of anything that has fallen in there over winter. If you don’t have the means to do this yourself, as you will need a ladder tall enough, then you could look into gutter cleaning professionals who could do it for you. As it is outdoors, there may be some in your area that are still working. If not, it could wait until after quarantine.
Paint an accent wall
Painting an accent wall in the home can be a great way to freshen up the room and make it look different, without it taking too long for the changes; painting can be done in one day. You may have old paint leftover in the garage that you could use, or perhaps you can buy some online. Choose a color that will leave you feeling happy, but will also really compliment your chosen room.
Declutter
If you normally put things off like decluttering a closet or a kitchen cabinet, then now is the time to do all of those things that you normally wouldn’t think that you had time for. Decluttering your closets, drawers, bedrooms, and kitchens can be a good way to feel lighter, feel happier, and be a really productive use of time. It can take a few hours, but make a big difference to your space.
Deep clean
On a similar note, having a deep clean of the home is a great thing to do at this time too. You can sort all of those jobs that you have been putting off, such as cleaning the refrigerator, cleaning the kitchen cabinets, and cleaning the carpets. Doing something extra each day will be all that you need to do.
