Who doesn’t love ball pits? I’m almost 30 (ugh, I can’t believe I said that out loud) and I still love ball pits. Whenever we go to children’s birthday parties I use my toddler as an excuse to jump in and join the fun. Now, you can bring the fun to your house with the Sesame Street ABC Playland Inflatable Ball Pit! Of course, I can’t fit in this one, but my toddler has lots of fun playing in this tent-like ball playland. Either side of the ball pit has three holes where children can toss balls inside the pit, although other children should be cleared of the pit if they do this because it can be dangerous. The set comes with 20 balls but we had extras from another toy and tossed them in as well. The more balls in the pit, the more fun floating around in them!
There are various chambers that need to be inflated and you might have difficulties doing it by mouth- we have a foot pump and this helped inflate the pit without over exerting ourselves. The pit is designed for children ages 2-6, but the taller the child, the less children will fit in it. My toddler and my younger niece and nephew are around the same age and were able to fit in the pit, but as they get older, I can’t see them all fitting in at the same time. Otherwise, this toy is very age appropriate and they had a lot of fun playing and “swimming” in the balls.
The Sesame Street ABC Playland Inflatable Ball Pit is available at Toys R Us for $34.99. It is a great indoor/outdoor toy, although we mostly use it inside. It is great for rainy-day indoor pretend play! If you want to add more fun, be sure to get an extra set of balls!
