I’m sure many women can agree that pregnancy has changed their skin. While I was pregnant with my first I noticed that I had considerably less breakouts and clearer skin in general. Now that I am pregnant with my second, my skin has changed again, this time not so much for the better. I started to notice dark spots, red spots, and fine lines. I’m not even 30 yet and I feel that my skin has aged ten years in the past few months.
I always believed in keeping up a good beauty regimen for my face, but since I had acne I wasn’t too sure what to do with my skin. It is difficult to start a “grown up” skin regimen that consists of salvaging your skin’s youthful appearance when you are smearing acid all over your face to keep breakouts at bay. Now that my breakouts are finally gone, I have been considering various regimens to keep my skin young – especially after all the changes pregnancy has brought on.
Have you noticed that once women start looking into wrinkle treatments, it is already too late? Once your wrinkles set it, it is really hard to erase the signs of aging. It is important to take care of your skin so that wrinkles never have a chance to form and maintain your skin as opposed to repairing it. I feel that now is the best time to get into a healthy beauty regimen because I have not hit 30 yet, and my skin is still somewhat youthful in appearance.
I have been given the opportunity to receive a Meaningful Beauty Kit to try out. You may have heard about this European-style system which was made popular by Cindy Crawford (who might I add looks FABULOUS for her age!) Together with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh she created a skin care line that was meant to maintain natural beauty and youthfulness. The kit I received included:
- Skin Softening Cleanser
- Antioxidant Day Crème SPF 20 UVA/UVB
- Anti-Aging Night Crème
- Firming Chest and Neck Crème
- Lifting Eye Crème
I feel that this entire line is exactly what I was looking for as far as an “adult” skin care regimen. I am most excited about trying the Antioxidant Day Creme. I’m hoping this cream will restore my skin’s healthy look.
As part of this campaign, I was given an additional set to give to someone meaningful in my life. Who else would I gift this set to but my own mom. I inherited my skin from her – all the good AND the bad. When I look at her skin, I see what my skin will look like when I am her age. From the dark spots to the youthful texture. While her skin looks fantastic for her age, she does suffer from the same problems I’m starting to notice in my own skin. It is time for me to slow down this process before it get’s worse! She will be taking the Meaningful Beauty challenge with me and comparing our skin over the next 30 days. It would be interesting to see how it helps each of us, as we both have similar issues but mine are in the beginning stages while hers are much more progressed.
You can learn more about Meaningful Beauty on their site, plus learn about each of the products and kits and find out what each has to offer. I will be updating you all on the status of our progress in about a month! Wish us luck!!
