If you have been reading my blog for a while, then you know that I recently renovated my basement and made a playroom for my toddler and her friends. We weren’t able to actually paint or fix the floors, so we had a DIY project and worked with what we already had. I don’t know about you, but I think the 70’s wood paneling should have stayed in the 70’s, but removing the paneling and putting up dry wall was not even an option. Now, we are left with the finishing touches of decorating.
I am torn between creating a fun, girlie, whimsical theme – or going with a more gender neutral theme. When I was pregnant, I opted for a gender neutral room because I knew that people that bought the baby gifts would drown us in pink, so there are plenty of pink accents in her room. When I had the opportunity to work with Caramel Expressions, I was stumped. They have so many choices of wall decor I found it difficult to choose just one. I decided to give my husband the choice (maybe for the 2nd time in our relationship.) I asked him to pick 3, and then we compared notes. We both decided to go with the Apple Tree picture. It is a high quality image that gives a serene feel to any room! Check out the other designs at Caramel Expressions.
