My family is just counting down the days til summer vacation! We will be visiting relatives in the south, taking a trip to The Great Wolf Lodge, and then a very special trip at the end of summer. Can you keep a secret? We are going to Disney! The kids have no clue so I can’t wait to surprise them with the exciting news. In the meantime, the hamster wheel in my head has been spinning with what I need to pack for our first trip down south. The basics are always packed in a zip lock bag- like shampoos, body washes, sunscreen, and the like. We frequently take weekend trips so having those items ready to go makes my packing a little easier. From past experience, I know my kids can sometimes become irregular when we are away. I know this is common, but I wasn’t sure how to handle it considering they are so young.
I remember reading about the benefits of probiotics and how they can keep your body regular. In case you didn’t know, probiotics are beneficial bacteria that live in our gut. This good bacteria can sometimes be wiped out with stress, illness, and diet, so replenishing it with a supplement may be necessary.* I decided to pack a box of Align Jr for our next trip, which was easy to find at our local drugstore and is recommended for children aged 6-12, making it perfect for my 7-year-old. I’m hoping by adding Align Jr. to her daily regimen, she can maintain the balance in her body to allow her to stay comfortable on our trip. The blister packs are easy to travel with, and the simple 1-time daily dose should be easy enough to remember. Plus, the delicious cherry flavor is something I know she will like!
