Little Valentines for Little Valentines

Before I had kids, I tried my best not to submit to “Hallmark Holidays.” I was the person that would remind everyone that Mother’s Day is everyday and we should always show people we love them and not just on Valentine’s Day. Now that I have kids of my own, my thinking has changed immensely. I love all these little holidays that make each month special. The kids look forward to making crafts in class and decorating the house to match the theme of the month.

This year I have all three of my kids in school, and while that should mean I have 3 classes of Valentine’s to prepare, this isn’t the case. My oldest in 4th grade doesn’t get as excited over Valentine’s Day anymore, and her class doesn’t really have parties or exchange Valentines. This is why for my middle daughter in 1st grade and my little guy in preschool I will be hyping up the holiday. I know these moments are fleeting and I want them to be excited and enjoy themselves. My first grader put together Peppa Pig themed Valentines and help her little brother with his PJ Masks themed cards. Together they created something unique for each of their classmates and will be sharing them during their Valentine’s Day parties. Along with special notes they personalized from the kits, we added a little sweet treat in each of the goodie bags for all the classmates.

While we were busy creating Valentine’s for friends, our friends from PJ Masks and Peppa Pig were busy showering us with fun gifts. The kids received a Peppa Pig on the go sticker kit which contains everything they will need to keep busy while mom and dad try to enjoy an evening out- even if the kids have to join us! When we come back home, they will get to play with a new PJ Masks game rug which includes two cars and a rug for interactive play. They can create their own scenes for fun creative play time.
