My hubby and I have been trying to figure out where we are going to vacation this summer. We want to stay “local” as in wherever we go we cannot fly because we will have an infant with us. Last year we took a trip with my toddler that was about 4 hours away and it was great. We planned a group trip with two other couples and their kids. We all had a lot of fun and we are looking to do something similar this year.
I hear a lot about Virginia Beach and their amusement parks and local dining. I have had a few friends that had vacationed there and they keep recommending certain places in Virginia Beach, but I haven’t had the opportunity to visit yet. With their kid friendly atmosphere, Virginia Beach has made our “possibility” list. The more I read about all they have to offer, the higher up the list it goes! It seems there is something for everyone- from the Virginia Beach Aquarium for the kids to the First Landing State Park for my history buff husband, I think everyone would have a great time.
Of course, you can’t vacation without thinking of what you are going to eat. While we try to stick by a budget while on vacation, we do like to indulge in some exciting new flavors and new food experiences. I looked into the Coastal Food Tours of Virginia which seems like a great reference to find all the local cuisine.
Have you been to Virginia Beach? Are there any attractions that you would recommend? Please let me know in the comments section! I would love to hear your thoughts! Also, if you are planning a trip, be sure to check out Things to do in Virginia Beach! I will be using this site myself if we decide to vacation there!
