Before your baby is born, it is not uncommon for you, as a new mom, to be on information overload about caring for your newborn. Walking into the baby store can be daunting at first – which bottles do I buy? Do I want to introduce a pacifier? What kind of diapers will I use?
I heard of MAM products and I even tried their pacifiers on my daughter when she was an infant. It seemed that EVERYONE was using MAM pacifiers and their bright packaging is easy to spot on any wall display at your local baby store. I had the opportunity to work with MAM and review some of their items that I had previously not used before. Here is what I think about them:
The MAM Anti-Colic Bottle is brand new this year. It helps reduce colic symptoms in babies and features a vented base that regulates air pressure for a smooth milk flow with less bubbles. The nipple on the bottle is an ultra soft-silicone orthodontic nipple that is suitable for both, breast milk and formula. The nipples come in four sizes ranging from slow to extra fast.
Although I did not use formula, I like that the MAM Anti-Colic Bottle features a measuring scale at the bottom of the bottle. I’m not sure if this feature would ever be used, since the formula containers always come with a handy measuring scoop, so I’m not sure how practical that feature is, but it is a feature that I had never seen on another bottle, so naturally, I thought this was neat. I like that the base unscrews so that you can get into all the corners of the bottle to properly clean it.
MAM Pacifiers
I had previously tried MAM pacifiers with my daughter, but the MAM Perfect Pacifiers are brand new this season. I asked my daughter’s pediatrician which feature would be the best for a pacifier. He claimed that the thinner the silicone, the better the pacifier was for the baby and the less damage it would cause to proper jaw alignment. The new MAM Perfect Pacifier features an extra-thin, soft nipple. It is 60% thinner and 3 times softer than other pacifiers – so these pacifiers scored points for those features! MAM Perfect Pacifiers come in 2 sizes: 0-6 months and 6+ months.
MAM Teethers
It is not uncommon to spend a lot on teething products for your infant. When my baby started teething, I searched high and low for ANYTHING that would help. The best teethers for us were the textured teethers that could be cooled in the fridge or freezer. I personally left all her teethers in the fridge, even the freezer safe ones, because I felt that frozen teethers were just too cold for her. The temperature in the back of the fridge was cold enough to soothe her sore gums, but not too cold that her face would be frozen to the touch.
MAM Teethers come in many varieties which serve different purposes in your child’s oral development. From cool soothers to massaging bristles, you can find anything you are looking for in their product line.
