I can’t believe I am more than 1/2 way through the Nutrisystem program. It feels great shedding the extra pounds and I was actually surprised this past weekend when I put on my swimsuit and my belly was finally flat! I still have a lot of extra booty baggage I would love to let go of, but these Meditteranean thighs might be here to stay!
I feel that I have a lot more energy and I am more satisfied when I eat. I find myself only grazing for more food when I haven’t eaten properly or when it’s that time, but overall I feel that I have made a total lifestyle change when it comes to food. I no longer feel that I HAVE to finish my plate when we go out to eat or when we go to other people’s houses. I find myself piling up the salads and less on the meats and rich foods. The few times that I did overeat, I felt very uncomfortable afterwards and now I know better.
When I do find myself grazing, I will pick up some celery sticks to munch on. Sometimes the crunch alone is enough to satisfy me, but other times I will need something to go along with it. I usually put a very thin layer of peanut butter and I feel better – without packing in more calories.
I miss cooking. I still cook for my toddler, but it’s not the same. I know it is only a few more weeks to go, but I would love my home to have that homey smell of something cooking in the oven. I know that my hubby and I are almost at that point where we can be “trusted” to eat food that we have to portion ourselves, since we are good when we are at other people’s homes. Nutrisystem is a great tool to get your eating habits brought into perspective and apply it to foods that are not preportioned. Once you have an understanding of what and how much you should be eating, then weaning from Nutrisystem would be a great idea.
This week I lost a little over 2 pounds and I FEEL GREAT! I am only a few pounds shy of my goal weight, so I feel that I would have reached my goal by the time I am done with the program!
