When you are running from job to school, to social activities and everything in between there can be very little time for you to enjoy. If you find that all you have is 30 minutes in the car, or your home before you need to get back to it, here are a few things you can do in 30 minutes.

Puzzles
There are so many great things about puzzle books. They are portable, so can go in your bag when you are waiting for the kids. They stimulate your thought processes, keep you engaged, and sustain excitement while playing. Fortunately, you can purchase these puzzles in different designs. That way, there will be no instance where boredom sets in because you already played one type of puzzle. There are small, manageable puzzles but if you’re really into them, you can find those that can cover an entire center table. You can have plenty of new puzzles and go up in difficultly too. You can even leave a spare one in the car for those times you are unexpectedly waiting for people. https://www.pennydellpuzzles.com/sudoku/subscriptions/ has an awesome range.
Meditation
Don’t think you can meditate for 30 minutes? Think again. The Calm app and Headspace both have guided, short meditation that anyone can fit into their day. So if you need some peace and calm, and only have 30 minutes? No problem. Select your required meditation and get started. You can do it in the car, kitchen, bed or well… anywhere!
Journal
30 minutes, and a few thoughts. Journaling at the end of the day doesn’t work for everyone. But you can manage to write down a few things in that 30-minute slot you have in your day. Happy you tackled a work project? Write it down. Sad that you can’t find your best sweater? Write it down.
Journaling is a great way to help you sort through messy thoughts or when you have a lot going on.
Dance it out
Got 30 minutes? Then you can dance or sing it out to your favorite songs. Dancing for a short while can add to your daily active minutes, and release a lot of endorphins too. Signing is just a lot of fun. And both of these can be great for stress release. So, spend your next free 30 minutes moving, grooving, and croonin’.
Music
Are you sick of listening to the curated playlists on Apple Music, or Spotify? Make your own playlists and allocate them to specific activities. Have one for driving, one for working and another for things like cooking. Next time you’re in the kitchen, say Hey Google/Alexa/Sir play Cooking Playlist and get your cook on to the music you enjoy.
Tidy up
When you tidy up in short bursts, you might be surprised just how much you can get done in a short amount of time. The bathroom or the kitchen is usually the quickest to do, but putting a load of washing on, or cleaning down the doors is short and gives an instant impact.
When you think you don’t have time to fit in the things you love, it’s most likely not utilizing the time you have well. You can do so much with 30 minutes, and using it to unwind and relax or catch up on fun hobbies is one of them.
