In our household, pretend play is highly regarded. I think it’s so important for kids to use their imaginations and it’s always interesting to hear the story lines they come up with when given toys. My oldest, at 9 years old, was able to put this set together with her 6-year-old sister by taking it page by page. This was the first time I didn’t have to set up the playset for them, which you can imagine was bittersweet. Once the temple was put together, it was time to go on an adventure! This set includes a whopping 121 pieces.
There is a secret map that reveals a hidden path, a functioning laser gun, and even a UV flashlight to reveal the unique glow in the dark features of this set. 3 explorers are included, which made playtime easy for my kids because they didn’t have to fight over who was going to be a person in their game. Each child with varying personalities and ages had a different favorite aspect of Playmobil Explorers. My oldest loved putting the set together and felt accomplished when she saw her final product after following directions. My middle child loved having characters to give them names and personalities and really got into the pretend play aspect, while my youngest loved the light up effects of the laser gun and the big T Rex who had the capability of demolishing the entire temple.
The holidays aren’t too far away, and believe it or not, I’m already planning our holiday gifts for the kids in the family. Playmobil is a favorite for a variety of ages and offers so many products to suit each child’s personality and style of pretend play.
