As a mama of two beautiful little girls who made me horribly sick when I was pregnant with them, I can tell you that sometimes, morning sickness doesn’t go away after 12 weeks. I can also tell you it can last all day long and take away from the joy you feel of being pregnant. I thought I had bad all-day sickness and horrible heart burn with my first baby, but my second baby did a number on my stomach. I couldn’t leave the house until after I vomited in the morning because if I did, I would end up vomiting in the car, or at a playdate, or.. you get the idea… morning sickness sucks.
I learned about Sea-Bands when I was pregnant with my second baby. We were traveling to our first family trip 4 hours away. I had just found out I was pregnant and knew the car ride might make me sick, so I brought along my Sea Bands just in case. The non-invasive, all natural, chemical free solution helped keep my nausea away, and quickly became my best friend for the next few months.
Sea Bands work with pressure points. There is a small ball on the inside of Sea Bands places pressure on the inside of your wrist. I have used Sea Bands for myself and for my now 5 year old daughter who gets motion sickness. I can tell you Sea Bands worked for me, but my preschooler claims she doesn’t feel relief when she uses them in the car. It could be that the wristbands are too big, or maybe we aren’t placing them correctly, but you won’t know if they work for you until you’ve tried them.
Another pregnancy-related side effect that ailed me for 12 weeks was the horrible taste in my mouth. Did/Do you experience that with pregnancy? Sea Band ginger lozenges can help with that horrible taste while also keeping morning sickness to a minimum. Ginger was always recommended to me from various sources to help with morning sickness, so a ginger lozenge is a great idea and easy way to have ginger readily available when you are away from home.
You can purchase Sea Band products at CVS and Target stores. Check out the video below to find out ways you can reduce morning sickness:
