March 20 a new Nintendo DS game for little girls was launched! I always get excited when girlie video games come out because growing up, video games were always geared towards boys. Since I was a tomboy, this didn’t phase me much, however my toddler is a little princess, and knows it. She loves all things girlie and pink, despite my efforts to keep things gender neutral around her.
Silverlicious is a spinoff from the Pinkalicious book series. When Pinkalicious is no longer able to taste anything sweet, she needs your help! By using manners and helping out others, she is able to regain her ability to taste sweets. Yes, you read correctly – a game that focuses on manners and being nice, not beating up other people and promoting violence. Quite a difference from what I grew up with!
I let my 8 year old neighbor borrow the game to test out and she raved about it! She especially loved that she could dress up her character in the various outfits and accessories that were collected throughout the game. Her mom mentioned that the running theme of the game was to promote kindness and had an overall positive gaming experience. What more could you ask for?
You can purchase Silverlicious on Amazon for $19.99.
