I can count on one hand the amount of shows I love my kids watching. Of course, they have their own ideas of what they want to see, but I’m happy when they choose shows like Miles from Tomorrowland. You see, my kids think they are just watching a show but what I see is them actually learning something. It’s not often you find a show teaching science skills, and as a science nerd myself, I’m pretty stoked to hear the fun facts Miles shares with viewers.
Even the toys from the Miles from Tomorrowland product line reflect information kids learn from the show to apply it to play time. We all know that play time is the best time to learn, and what better way than with their favorite space characters!? I’ll admit, when we first opened the new toys from the Miles from Tomorrowland new product lineup, I wasn’t sure who some of the characters were. My 4 year old enlightened me as we played with each one. The “bad guy” is Gadfly and he comes with a scourge vehicle that shoots missiles. There is a claw on the bottom of the vehicle to pick up accessories. In the show he tries to take over the Stellosphere, and that’s where Miles and his Photon Flyer come in.
Miles can fight back in his Photon Flyer where he can fly and be accompanied by a side kick. The kids love that the wings light up, making them feel like they are part of the show. The Photon Flyer can be used in 3 different positions, from parked, to flying and then the front extends to be in turbo mode. You can even connect other toys from the Miles from Tomorrowland product line to expand the unit (that’s what the XVR symbol means.)
Prince Rygan and Haruna come with their own flying accessories. Prince Rygan’s mom is also considered a villain in Miles from Tomorrowland, but Prince Rygan himself wants to be a good guy. Haruna is Miles’ best friend from Earth and they skateboard together. With the figurine set, Miles and Haruna can skateboard around your living room!
My girls enjoyed playing with the Miles from Tomorrowland playsets. I love that these sets are expandable with other toys from the product line. They can be purchased from Toys R Us or Amazon.
