Teaching Kids About Giving vs. Receiving This Season with PJ Masks

I think we’ve done a pretty good job teaching our kids to be thankful this holiday season. They’ve chosen an organization to donate toys to children in need this holiday season, and haven’t complained once that they want these gifts for themselves. I’m so impressed and humbled by the actions of my two older children this holiday season, it warms my heart to know they are mine. My little guy is still a bit young to understand the concept of giving and being thankful this season, but as he grows and watches our actions as a family to help those in need, hopefully he will follow suit and want to help out as well.

 

Our latest package as part of the PJ Masks Ambassador program included items that my little guy would appreciate. We chose two items to keep and two to donate to our annual Toys for Tots donation bin. My son loves his sister’s old Magna-Doodle, but it’s taken about 5 years of abuse. Now he has his own Magna-Doodle featuring his favorite, PJ Masks characters. The set includes 3 magnetic stampers and a magnetic pen so he can doodle to his heart’s content. Now that my little guy is showing an appreciation for coloring, we try to keep craft items that we know are age-appropriate, otherwise we will have toddler murals on our walls.
