When my husband and son both saw the two new games, they were ecstatic. My son had been watching previews for Kirby and the Forgotten Land on YouTube and was eagerly awaiting the release of this title. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was on my husband’s list since December and he couldn’t manage to get his hands on this title. So when Nintendo surprised us with both games, I had two very happy people in my home!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a fun and fast-paced game of exploration, destruction, and saving Waddle Dees from the enemies. Since my son had watched many previews of the game before we received it, he gave me advice as I played as Kirby. After some time of exploration, you are able to add a second player to the game, in the form of a Waddle Dee. The most exciting part of the game for us was the ability to stick just about anything in Kirby’s mouth, instantly transforming Kirby into the specific object. The object of the game is to save the Waddle Dees, and decorate Kirby’s house with knickknacks acquired along the way.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land retails for $59.99 and is available for direct download to your Nintendo Switch from the Nintendo eShop, or can be purchased from retailers like Amazon and Target.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was a long-awaited title by both my husband and my son. My husband has always loved Star Wars, but his love for the franchise increased tremendously when my son started showing an interest in Star Wars as well. I’ll be honest, Star Wars is a language I don’t speak, but I can appreciate their excitement and bonding over all things Star Wars. When my husband saw the video I posted on Instagram of this Nintendo title, he couldn’t believe his eyes, and could barely contain his excitement. My husband is pretty mellow and doesn’t excite easily, but his excitement was infectious.
In my own experience with playing Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga for Nintendo Switch, I felt that the gameplay was very similar to other Lego Nintendo Switch games. You choose the character you would like to play from over 300 players as either the good or bad guys. There is a ton of action, and each destruction leads to many pieces of Legos spewing around you as you try to collect them. You can choose which trilogy you would like to explore and travel to many of the planets throughout the gameplay. There are quests to complete and various character abilities that help you with the quests. As a non-Star Wars fanatic, I can objectively tell you this is a fun game that holds your attention for hours, and will want you coming back to play again as you unlock more features.
You can purchase your copy of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga from the Nintendo eShop, Amazon, and Target.
