Friday night I had a date with my little guy. His sisters both had plans and I knew he would feel lonely without them there, so we made plans to have a mommy/son date and eat dinner together and play video games. I didn’t know at the time we would discover our new favorite game to play together. We got the chance to check out WarioWare: Get it Together, courtesy of Nintendo, and let me tell you- it did not disappoint. This fast-moving game kept us engaged for so long, we actually unlocked most of the levels the first night, and the next day we unlocked the rest of them! It was hard to enforce our video game limit rule because we had so much fun meeting new characters through the levels and racing against the clock.
When I say “fast-paced” I mean fast-paced. WarioWare moves so quickly, you need to think fast and react even faster as your fingers control the characters. In 2 player story mode, you work together to get to the boss level and defeat them to move onto the next level.
The mini-games feature fun and exciting levels where you need to perform super quick tasks, like plucking underarm hair from a statue, knocking out bad guys, squeezing out toothpaste, escaping sticky situations, and so much more! With 200 mini-games there’s no time to get bored! My favorite part was the quirky levels which featured flashbacks to older Nintendo games, like the Mario Bros series. Check out the free demo of Wario Ware: Get it Together at the Nintendo eShop!
My little guy is only 6 years old but has had a Nintendo controller in his hands since he was 3. He plays better than his sisters who are 9 and 12 on most games, so he was unstoppable when it came to the fast paced microgames of Wario Ware.
Colder days are coming soon, and we will be spending more time indoors. Add WarioWare to your Nintendo Switch lineup for family game time or cold weather days! This game will be sure to entertain the entire family for hours! You can get your copy from the Nintendo eShop, Amazon, and Target for $49.99.
