My 10-year-old decided that she wanted to celebrate her birthday at the skating rink for her big leap to double digits. Knowing all the kids would enjoy a day at the skating rink, we happily obliged and started the search for the most fun party favors, themed cake, and skating gear.

Five years ago my oldest daughter received a Wipeout bike-safety kit which included a bike helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. All the gear necessary to bring to the skating rink! Not only has Wipeout kept our 12-year-old safe for years on her bike and rollerblades, but both my girls love the idea of entirely customizable safety gear where they can create unique designs and change them up as they change! I see such a difference in the designs my 12-year-old keeps on her Wipeout gear from when she was 7 years old and it’s fun to watch the transition of her style.
In case you haven’t seen or heard of Wipeout, they offer safety gear for kids that include non-toxic dry erase markers. Your child can create their own designs on their safety gear and when they decide it’s time for a new style, they can simply erase and start over. This is such a fun concept because as children evolve, their tastes change. As a parent of three, I can tell you it gets super expensive to try to keep up. Wipeout allows their gear to grow with children, without creating an added expense each time your child outgrows a theme.
As we were getting ready to head to the party, both girls had the idea to let everyone in the room know my 10-year-old was the birthday girl! She was the coolest kid in the skating arena with a customized Happy Birthday bike helmet from Wipeout! Check out their designs below:
The kids didn’t want to customize the elbow, knee, and wrist guards, but you can check out the 7 year old modeling them below.

I’ve seen Wipeout products at our local Target, and you can also find them on the Wipeout website and Amazon.
