Getting together for a ladies night out after having kids is quite a challenge. I’m sure you’ve seen memes circling the internet about planning a girl’s night out and then not being able to find a date where everyone is available and has a babysitter until months later. I’m fortunate to have a group of ladies I love and adore, and we plan such events. The more kids we had between us, the more challenging it was to find a date that worked with all of us. Between us, we now have 10 kids, and while having a sitter on hand isn’t always a big deal, last minute issues come up like a child being sick.
A few weeks ago we finally had plans to go out. I was ecstatic about it until my friends started talking about what foods they couldn’t wait to eat from our favorite Sushi restaurant. The dishes they mentioned stirred up my own emotions when it came to saucy foods. You see, I’ve suffered from heartburn for years, and while I love Sushi, it usually causes my heartburn to flare up.
