Have you started thinking about what to pack for school lunches? I know we have about a month of summer left, but my girls are limited to what they can bring for lunch. One daughter is in a nut-free school, and the other is just so picky when it comes to cold lunches, so I have to be creative with both.
Sandwiches seem to be the easiest thing I can make on a daily basis, filling them with various proteins, dairy, and even veggie choices. There’s nothing like a fresh turkey sandwich with cheddar and crunchy lettuce between two soft pieces of bread. Add some ranch dressing and you’ve got yourself a tasty lunch that is sure to fill a hungry belly.
Nature’s Harvest® Bread is launching their “Whole Grain Challenge” to encourage people to eat 48 grams of whole grain in their diet each day. It’s easy to meet this goal when you incorporate any of the Nature’s Harvest® Breads in your daily routine. Since sandwiches are so versatile, you can get really creative and put your favorite ingredients to make one healthy meal. Another one of our favorites is Almond Butter with Raspberry preserves and sliced bananas. If you haven’t tried it, it’s a flavor that’s totally droolworthy!

This sandwich looks delicious! I am also trying to get more whole grains in my diet. I will check out the Nature Harvest bread.
