Keeping active is getting easier now that the weather is finally cooperating. I just started an exercise regimen and my husband has started a weightloss meal plan, so together we are both trying to live healthier and eat better. I noticed that while working out, I would be able to stay motivated longer (I really hate working out) when I was able to track my progress. In my social media feed I see so many people keeping track of their calories lost and how much activity they completed, so I knew it was time to jump on that bandwagon, make some goals, and stick to them by tracking my progress.
Best Buy has all sorts of gadgets when it comes to fitness and I tried out the new iBitz for adults and for kids. My children don’t need to lose weight by any means, but keeping them active means keeping them healthy. Both my girls, ages 2 and 4 can sometimes be couch potatoes, drones to the television. I totally blame it on the winter that has kept us indoors for nearly 4 months. With the iBitz Kids PowerKey Wireless activity monitor ($34.99) at Best Buy, my oldest daughter can play games and stay active, while earning points towards her goals. It is easy to keep track with the downloadable app on our iOS devices. If you have Android, the iBitz programs will not work with your device yet. The Adult Unity Wireless Activity Monitor ($49.99) also keeps track of your fitness, but doesn’t include the fun games available in the child’s version.
The iBitz wireless pedometer can be attached to your belt clip or sneaker, and connects to your iOS device through Bluetooth. You can track steps, distance, weight, physical activity, and more. The iBitz for kids allows parents to set goals and rewards, as well as sync with your Disney’s Club Penguin account.
