Our family is growing up! We are past the baby stages- the diapers, bottles, strollers, and the like. The years flew by, and we are ready to add another member to our family. If you’ve been following us on Instagram, you know that we adopted two precious guinea pigs that the kids absolutely adore! Now, we are looking to add a bigger member to our family, perhaps a dog or a cat. We are leaning towards getting a dog because we feel it is beneficial to the kids to have a pet who will interact with them.
At this point, we aren’t looking for a specific breed because we are limited to what a rescue center would have available. When weighing our options over bigger dogs vs smaller dogs, we see the pros and cons to both. I know that once we find the perfect companion for our family, we will know immediately. We are currently looking into pet adoption agencies and fell in love with the profile of a German Shepherd in Brooklyn.
Now that the weather is a bit warmer, we are taking time on the weekends to find a new member for our family. We’ve already purchased a few items for our prospective new family member, like a Petmate water dispenser, and a feeding bowl. We haven’t purchased a dog bed yet because we still aren’t sure how big our pet will be.

How cute! Living in the city can make it so hard to have pets, but what would we do without them. German Shepards are the best!

German Shepherd’s make great companions for any family! A dog will be the perfect fit to interact with your children and teach them responsibility!
My neighbor has a shepard and he enjoys every bit of it. Shepards are the best family dogs to own, they are so adorable! A dog would make a great addition to the family.
German Shepards are such great dogs. Hard to have them in the city but for sure there are ways to make it work.
Adopting pets is definitely the way to go. There are so many perfect pets out there and finding the one is so easy with websites like getyourpet.com. My brother just adopted a lab and he fits in perfectly with their growing family!
