Getting things done as a mom can make you feel like you’re in a Mission Impossible movie! Rushing from one place to another, trying to get 2 unwilling kids ready for school, or just getting ready for the beach can make a mom feel like the clock is ticking and the pressure is on to finish this mission….if you are willing to accept it.
In the new movie Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation starring Tom cruise, we catch up with Ethan Hunt and his crew at the IMF. The world is in danger once more, this time by a group of rogue agents, and the only person able to stop it is Hunt and his pals in the Impossible Mission Force. This movie is a classic action film, from the first 30 seconds of the film (involving a mind blowing scene with Tom Cruise riding on the outside of an airplane!) the action is non-stop. Everything you can ask for in a summer blockbuster is there. Car chases, motorcycles, underwater action as well as the twists and turns you can expect from the mission impossible movies.
What made this movie even better is knowing that Tom Cruise did all his own stunts! He refuses to use a stunt double, and after watching the film and all its elaborate action sequences, I am amazed that he did all that on his own. The film had me on the edge of my seat for the entire time, wondering how Tom Cruise would escape another impossible situation. In a theater near you Friday July 31st! Get tickets at Fandango. Even though my daily routine as a mom does not match the life and death consequences of the film, most moms will agree that some days do feel as if completing all that we have to is like a mission impossible movie. And just like Hunt and the IMF, when we succeed we feel as if the world has been saved….at least in our household.
I can’t wait to see this movie with my husband! I think it will be fun!
