There are so many pregnancy pillows on the market, it is hard to make a decision while you are in the store. Some are too soft, some are too big. In the end, the decision is based on what you need in a pillow. Do you need back support, belly support, all around support? When I was pregnant with my daughter, I used regular pillows to support my growing body. These didn’t work too well and I even tried rolling up towels to accomodate my belly sleeping habit with my expanding belly. Around 8 months pregnant, I finally broke the habit, but at that point I wasn’t sleeping anyway.
When I think of a pregnancy pillow, an image comes to mind of an oversized body pillow that creates a barrier between you and your hubby. Maybe this isn’t such a bad thing after all, since he is part of the reason for your discomfort. Utterly Yours has come up with a very unique pregnancy pillow that looks like a cube. When you unfold the cube, you have two triangle shaped pillows attached to a band. You lay in between the triangles which provide back AND belly support. Since sleeping on your side is usually recommended, especially after the 5th month of pregnancy, support is essential for a good night’s sleep. Even if you prefer to sleep on your belly, the Utterly Yours pregnancy pillow can support you when you lean on your belly, creating a safe and comfortable position.
Not only is the Utterly Yours pregnancy pillow one of the most ingeniously designed pregnancy pillows out there, it is also compact, comfortable, made with eco-friendly memory foam, and may actually match the decor of your room! I love that when it is folded up, you can’t even tell that it is a pregnancy pillow. Check out the image below:
Utterly Yours has many styles to choose from so you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. Their pregnancy pillow retails at under $50 and can be purchased at various retailers listed here. It’s definately hard to find the ‘perfect’ position to relax when one is pregnant. I should definately get one of these – don’t know what I was thinking about when I said I didn’t need one 🙂
Ha! That’s what I said too.. until I tried it out!
I love the fact that you don’t have to turn it when you do to keep the support
