Every time I talk to people about children’s shoes, I always tell the story my mom told me about growing up with Stride Rite shoes. You see, 30+ years ago my mom knew the importance of supportive footwear for developing toddlers. This is why she insisted on always getting her children shoes from Stride Rite, which were fitting specifically for their (our) size. There was someone available in the Stride Rite shop to assist her with finding the right fit and making sure each child received the correct size and width for their proper development.
Fast forward many (many) years later and Stride Rite is still the top name for footwear in children. When my oldest daughter started walking, my parents came along for a family trip to Stride Rite where my daughter was fitted for a shoe, size 4 1/2 Wide, to be exact. The experience at Stride Rite was unlike any other. Someone was there to help us out and there were even games for my young tot to play with while we browsed their extensive selection.
My girls are now 5 and 2, and twice a year we visit a Stride Rite shop so they can get refitted and choose a new pair of sneakers. Many of you know that I’m a strictly online-shopper because of the convenience it affords to a mom of two, but Stride Rite is the one exception I make. My girls each received a pair of shoes to start their new school year. My oldest received Kids Stride Rite Sugar & Spice Lilac which features vibrant colors and a comfortable sole. Let’s not forget about the lights! These adorable shoes light up with each step, what’s not to love?
My youngest received Baby’s Stride Rite SRT Lydia in Navy which has adorable sequence, and easy velcro closure, and Stride Rite’s technology: SRT for the most supportive shoe out there.
