School’s out and it’s time to plan some summer fun! We have weeks worth of play dates lined up, but we also need to think of ways to keep the fun and beat the heat. My husband and I were weighing the idea of adding a pool to our backyard when we were doing construction, but decided against it since our kids are still young. Of course, we still needed to find a way to cool off this summer, so we opted for the Little Tikes Slam ‘n Curve Slide, which was sent to us for review.
Little Tikes is known for their high quality children’s products. From small toys to beds and everything in between, Little Tikes is a name that will be with you from the time you have a baby until you see them off to high school. The Slam ‘n Curve slide is perfect for kids ages 5-10 who want to have a ton of fun, and who may also be limited on backyard space.
The Slam ‘n Curve slide comes with everything you need to operate it, including an air pump, yard stakes, hosing for the water slide, a basketball hoop and small inflatable ball. Putting the slide together was easy, and it inflated within minutes, which is WAY more than I can say about our small inflatable pool with the small tire pump we used on it. That took about an hour to pump up. The Slam ‘n Curve wins over the inflatable pool for quick and easy set up.
One the Slam ‘n Curve slide is staked down and aired up, lots of fun is about to happen. My biggest question was whether or not you can use the Slam ‘n Curve Slide without water. My brother has the same slide and told me that you need the water to make the slide slippery, but in our experience, you don’t. The slide does not seem to have any traction on it that would prevent you from using it dry, and I’m thinking of making it into a ball pit for our cooler-month birthday parties or family gatherings where it will be too cold to splash in the water.
All in all the Slam ‘n Curve inflatable water slide from Little Tikes won me the parent of the year award from my kids. They had a ton of fun and beg me to inflate it everyday. I don’t mind- it’s quick and easy set up, plus it deflates, folds, and stores easy for next time. You can find out more by visiting Little Tikes, and connecting with them on social media- Facebook and Twitter. The Little Tike Slam ‘n Curve Slide can be purchased directly from Little Tikes, or you can check out Walmart, Amazon, Toys R Us, and other retailers who may have special promotions on the slide. Do I recommend it? YES! If your kids fall within the age range then go for it! They will love it! Just be sure to keep them supervised at all times within the slide. We have a strict one-person-at-a-time rule while playing in the Slam n Curve and always abide to the 150 pound total weight limit.
