When I was pregnant, the very first thing I put on my registry was a Britax Boulevard. I did tons of research and knew that the only carseat I felt the most secure with was Britax. With so many brands, it is hard to choose one that is reliable, while also being affordable. Safety is definitely not the place to skimp when it comes to baby gear.
My little girl has been in her Britax since she was 8 months old. Before that she was in an infant car seat and she cried every time she was placed in the car. It never occurred to me that she may not be comfortable in her car seat. One afternoon, my hubby put the Britax in his car because we had to shuffle our daughter around and we both needed seats in our cars. He was reluctant to travel alone with her, knowing how difficult it was to listen to her crying in the car. To our amazement, she did not cry ONCE. We put the Britax in my car and we have had happy travels since then.
Eventually she will outgrow her Boulevard (when she is 70 pounds) and she will need to be placed in a booster seat. We had the opportunity to review the Parkway SG and I have a lot to say about it. First of all, my sister owns a booster seat from “another brand” even though she is a loyal Britax user as well. Before she heard about Britax, she purchased this “other brand” and my niece was able to slide under the seat belt. This is called the “submarine effect.” When I unwrapped the Parkway SG, I was thrilled to see that there was a clip (SecureGuard) that sits in between the child’s legs in order to prevent a submarine effect. Needless to say, the “other brand’s” booster seat is no longer used.
The Parkway SG booster seat is super easy to install! You simply place the seat in the car, thread the seat belt through the shoulder slot, fasten the seatbelt and attach the SecureGuard. That’s it!
The Parkway holds children up to 120 pounds, and with the laws changing each year, requiring children to stay in car seats longer, this car seat will last you a VERY long time!

I want to apologize for the stock photos. I had an entire video review planned, but my video camera had other ideas. I lost all my footage and I am working on having someone try to recover that information for me. I will post the video as soon as I can!

I have never used Britax before, but I might have to get the booster seat for my youngest. My boys are tall, so they quickly outgrow the other seats when not emotionally ready. The secureguard would be great!

I think it's great they have the sippy cup holders on the car seat, I know my great nephews would LOVE that little something extra.
