Well, almost! I’m no pro, but when I’m in the kitchen whipping up dinner, I sure do feel like one! Of course, kitchen knives will NOT give you superhero powers or amazing knife skills, but the RIGHT knife can make chopping a cinch, make your life easier, and even make cooking dinner safer. Yes, a sharper knife is safer than a dull knife. Take for instance chopping a yam. Have you ever gotten your knife stuck in the yam? Did you then have a hard time getting your knife out? This can be a dangerous situation… so, what you would need is an APPROPRIATE knife for the job, as well as a knife that is sharp.
I can tell you that my previous knives needed to be sharpened each time I used them. My Chicago Cutlery knives are used everyday and have not needed to be sharpened once. I feel that I can get thin slices of tomatoes and onions which are perfect for sandwiches, and at the same time chop up some fresh veggies to make a delicious comfort meal of ratatouille.
The Chicago Cutlery Design Pro Knives are my go-to knives. I use them for just about any job in the kitchen because they really are that much better than my old set, which I thought were professional knives (I was SO wrong!) The best part? They don’t cost as much as professional-grade knives!
