There’s so much to consider when purchasing the best toys for infants. When Bright Starts chose me to host a party for a few close friends and their babies, I knew it was a great way to try out new toys and let other moms get a real feel for what they were looking for in toys for their kids. Aside from having a good excuse to get together with other mom for some coffee talk, it was also a great way to start socializing our new babies and learn about the new Bright Starts product line.
As you can imagine, getting babies together during the beginning of the winter season can be tricky. My son was sick for 9 weeks.. NINE! It wasn’t fun. When we finally felt well enough for company, our friends were sick, so our partied was quite delayed, but it was definitely better late than never. The opportunity to get together with friends was welcomed! Coffee was made, play mats were out, and it was time to play! Bright Starts sent us a variety of toys including the Learn and Giggle Activity Center, Spin and Giggle Puppy, and the Learn and Giggle Fish. We even got a set of extra balls that seemed to hold more interested than anything else! The kids followed the balls with their eyes and excitedly grabbed one when it was close.
The least favorite toy amongst the younger babies was the Spin & Giggle Puppy. The center spins around quickly, tossing balls in every direction. Most of the babies were startled by this except the 1 1/2 year old- who seemed to enjoy the excitement of not knowing where the balls would end up.
All in all the party was a success. The moms were able to make informed decisions on the best toys for infants, and what to steer clear of until they are older. Thanks to Bright Starts for providing toys for the party!
