Over The Counter Relief for Eczema

I try to ignore my eczema. I’ve suffered from eczema since I was 8 years old. I remember my feet being so itchy I would rub them against that ugly brown carpet my mom had in my room. The friction would create a rug burn on my foot that would create a temporary relief of my symptoms. Of course, this led to an infection and my mother searching for answers and relief. She took me to a highly regarded dermatologist in the city who prescribed a myriad of treatments, some would work better than others. Then, a friend suggested GOLD BOND® powder and since then we were believers in GOLD BOND® products. because they worked! After the first application, I felt relief and my skin finally started to heal. A few years after trying the GOLD BOND® medicated powder, an easier- to-apply GOLD BOND® cream came out.

Why GOLD BOND?

I headed to Target to see if there was an over the counter solution and found with 2% colloidal oatmeal for around $10. I was happy to see a familiar name and a steroid-free option was what I was looking for, so I decided to give it a try. After the first application, my feet looked more hydrated. After a few weeks of usage, you can’t even tell I’m a long-term eczema sufferer. The itch is completely gone, although I do still have some cracking in my skin.   23. I’m thankful that I don’t have excema but I do get incredibly dry and chapped skin during the winter. For me the worst is when the skin cracks and starts bleeding.

  37. one of my very young grandkids has a bad case of exema – just like you said – it is itchy. But it also looks bad, her head continues to flake (even with the gloves she is wearing) and all her attempts to crawl is painful – but makes her knees seem pretty raw (even when covered with clothes. She has a lot going on for such a young one. Glad she enjoys cuddling as I hope it helps relieve the pain a bit.
