After nearly 4 months of social distancing and distance learning, my kids are ready to have some fun. We are still practicing some form of social distancing, although things are starting to open up in NYC. I’m always looking for fun things for the kids to do indoors, especially on rainy days. We received some fun items to check out while we are in quarantine, and I thought you guys would love to hear all about them.
The first item is the Chalk of the Town T-Shirt Kit. My kids had so much fun designing their own t-shirts and had some interesting ideas of uses for these shirts. Not only can they bring their own fashion ideas to life, but they can also design their shirt for spirit week in school when they need unique threads. These shirts come with 3 chalk markers and a cloth to erase your design. They are also machine washable and can be customized over and over. Chalk of the Town t-shirts are available in youth sizes XS to XL and adult sizes S to 2XL in lime green!
My son fell in love with the Dinomazing Egg Decorator which includes two dino eggs filled with slime and a collectible dinosaur. The egg decorator spins the egg while your child can create lines and stripes in a fun and super-easy way to decorate eggs. I’m thinking this might also come in handy when it’s time to decorate Easter eggs!
My 8-year-old daughter not only deemed the Aquabeads Trolls World Tour set hers. Not only did she make her favorite Trolls World Tour characters, but now she’s looking into other Aquabead creations to pass her time. We find that the simple act of placing beads to create a design really relaxes her during these crazy days we’ve had. After the beads are in place, she spritzes them with water and lets the “magic” work as her beads fuse together to stay in their shape.
With all these boredom busters, kids will surely be entertained during hot summer days or rainy days indoors!
