Edible Arrangements Donates to The National MS Society! ($50 Gift Card Giveaway!)

Nearly a year ago, I ordered an Edible Arrangement for my toddler’s Hello Kitty themed birthday party. The reason I chose to get an Edible Arrangement for my guests was because two months prior my hubby surprised me with a chocolate dipped fruit arrangement for my birthday. It really was the best present, because what’s better than chocolate and fruit?

Since I was pleased with their high standards, I felt it would be a great opportunity to share some news from Edible Arrangements. All locations in MA, RI, and NH are hosting a fundraiser through the end of March for The National MS Society. Since orange is the color for MS awareness, $5 from each Orange Blossom will be donated to this wonderful cause. If you would like to participate, head to your local Edible Arrangement in MA, RI, and NH up until March 31, 2013. You can also arrange to have your Edible Arrangement picked up or delivered at ANY future date, but your order must be in by March 31, 2013 in order for your purchase to count towards the donation.

Edible Arrangements now-annual MS fundraiser was inspired by a Boston-area resident and franchisee’s passion for MS fundraising and awareness due to extensive family history with this destructive disease. Nick D’Alleva, owner of the Peabody, Beverly and Lynn Edible Arrangements stores, went to Corporate a few years ago to request that his co-op have a fundraiser that supports MS research. His wish was granted and in 2011 he and his co-op managed to raise $5,240 in just two weeks. With the success of this effort, the co-op extended their fundraising efforts in 2012 for the entire month of March- MS Awareness Month. The fundraiser was a huge success, raising $10,000 for the National MS Society, Greater New England.

Throughout March, all of the Edible Arrangements locations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire will participate in the fundraiser benefitting the National MS Society. Due to the success, this year’s fundraiser was expanded to include all of the Edible Arrangements locations in Rhode Island- the proceeds from those stores will benefit The Society’s Rhode Island Chapter.
