One of my all time favorite board games growing up was (and still is) The Game of Life. I remember the old version of The Game of Life, and might even have it somewhere. There is a newer, quick-set-up version out now and if you have kids 8 and up, they will enjoy The Game of Life just as much as you did when you were a kid! Just spin the wheel and see where your path leads you- how many kids will you have, what job will you land, and will you retire a millionaire? Well, you have to play to find out!
You can head to your local Toys R Us to pick up The Game of Life today, or if you are feeling like me and want to stay indoors and not deal with the snow and cold weather, order The Game of Life Board Game on Amazon today!
Age: 8+; Players: 2-4; Approximate Retail Price: $19.99
I love board games because they teach kids so much- learning to take turns, sometimes you don’t get what you want, and most important of all- family time. Playing board games with my oldest daughter has fostered a close relationship where we can talk about anything and feel connected. When we sit down to play board games together, the conversation keeps going and there are no electronics standing in the way. It’s a great way to bond and have fun at the same time! The Game of Life was one of my favorite games growing up, too. My mom never wanted to play Monopoly because it took so long, so I’d always make her play Life instead.

Wow, I haven’t played Game of Life since I was a kid. It’s hard to believe it’s still around.

I should go get one – I miss playing that game and my poor kids have never tried it.
