I have been a Dove product user for as long as I can remember. My mother trusted Dove’s gentleness and counted on their 1/3 moisturizer formula to keep our skin soft and protected. Years later, Dove is still a big part of my routine, even though their products have changed over time. Not only does Dove still have their body bar soap we used as children, but now they have body washes, hair care, and even deodorants.
My underarms are very sensitive, but I sweat A LOT. I sweat so much, I was prescribed a special antiperspirant years ago which left me with dry, irritated skin. I couldn’t use it more than 2 days in a row, and to be effective it had to be used regularly. I gave up on this harsh prescription antiperspirant and thought I wouldn’t find anything to tame my evil sweating issues. Since I was already a Dove deodorant user in the past, I thought it couldn’t hurt to try the new Dove Advanced Care Deodorant. The Dove deodorant I used in the past left me smelling delightful, but didn’t last as long as I needed it to. Quite honestly, I didn’t think the new formula would work too well for my specific issues, but after using it just one time, I was already impressed.
From the three samples I received, Sheer Touch was my favorite scent. It reminded me of summertime. My friend opted for Rebalance which is more of a floral scent. We both agreed we needed a stronger anti-perspirant that controlled odor, but unlike myself, my friend never saw a doctor for her issue. After just one use, my skin remained soft and was not irritated by the stronger formula. After a week of use I still did not experience any irritation as I had in the past with other strong products. I haven’t experienced odor issues and feel dry throughout the day. I would say this was a successful trial! My friend simply stated that “it worked!” She loved the scent and commented that in the summer she opts to stay away from perfume, and Rebalance was like wearing a “soft-scented body mist that lasted all day.”
Overall, I would say we are both very happy with our experience with the new Dove Advanced Care Deodorant. Erin Walsh shared some Tips which I personally use, such as wearing loose clothing in the summer to stay comfortable, and always keeping a lightweight cardigan on hand for evenings or places with high air conditioning.

This is one of my all time favorite deodarant because it really keeps me dry. I like the Sheer touch the best. I like that this deodarant does not irritate my underarms.
