I know I’m not the only parent in the world that cringes when TV commercials come on children’s programming that seems to be out of place with the content. There have been numerous occasions where my kids have caught glimpses of horror film commercials while watching their own shows, and I still don’t understand how that works! If you’re on a child-friendly network watching children’s programming, WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE COMMERCIALS!?
So, due to this, we don’t really watch live TV anymore. We’ve opted to invest in Smart TVs for our newer TVs and add a Roku streaming device to our older TVs for the kids- this way, we can control what they see with limited commercials.
Have you heard of Kabillion? Kabillion is a totally FREE Video on Demand network just for kids! You have access to kid-friendly shows, all in one place. Kabillion has made its way into the Top 10 Kids Free On Demand Networks in the US, winning my seal of approval for appropriate content for my own kids. Some of our favorite shows include LEGO Friends, Barbie Dreamtopia, and Toddworld. There’s even Bobby’s World and Gumby for all you old-school parents like me who grew up with these shows! There are so many options, be sure to check out Kabillion for their entire lineup.
We personally use a Roku streaming device in the kid’s rooms, but if Roku isn’t your thing, Kabillion is accessible through the Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV. The network is also available as a free VOD service with most major cable providers.
