I was never a big wine drinker until I spent more time with my hubby’s family. Wine is a big part of their social gatherings, whether it is a backyard barbecue or a wedding. I do not consider myself a connoisseur of any sort – all I know is what I like and I always stick to the same brands of wine. Whether I have white or red wine, it has to be cold – some people like to taste the bold complexities of a room temperature red wine – but I can still differentiate a Shiraz from a Cabernet even if it is chilled. When the weather starts to get warm, I find myself gravitating toward white wines because they are much lighter and crisp than red wines. My favorite white is a Riesling.
Flip Flop wines decided to sponsor a “girl’s night in” for me and a few friends. They sent us over 3 wines to taste – 2 whites and a red: Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, and of course, my fav- Riesling. Whenever my girls and I get together, we all agree that we love one specific brand of wine. Each girl has her own flavor of wine that she prefers, but the brand seems to be the same all around. When I introduced them to Flip Flop Wines, they were impressed with the quality and flavor of the wines. When I told them that they were only about $7 per wine, they were shocked! Girls night was a blast – but now we are out of wine!
